What Does a Chiropractor in Newcastle Do?

Chiropractors are healthcare professionals who specialize in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of musculoskeletal conditions, particularly those related to the spine. They use manual adjustment, manipulation, and other techniques to relieve pain and improve the function of affected areas. In addition to manual techniques, chiropractors also utilize various therapeutic procedures and exercise regimens to help patients recover from their injuries and conditions.

Chiropractors are often sought out by patients who are experiencing pain or discomfort in their back, neck, head, or extremities. This pain may be the result of an injury, such as a car accident or a sports-related injury, or it may be the result of a chronic condition, such as arthritis or degenerative disc disease. Whatever the cause of the pain, chiropractors are trained to diagnose the underlying problem and develop a treatment plan to alleviate it.

One of the key techniques used by chiropractors is manual adjustment, which involves applying controlled force to joints that have become restricted in their movement. This can help to reduce pain and improve mobility. Chiropractors may also use other techniques, such as massage therapy or therapeutic exercises, to complement the manual adjustments.

In addition to providing relief from acute and chronic pain, chiropractors also play an important role in preventing future problems from developing. They educate their patients on proper posture and body mechanics, as well as on how to maintain good physical health through diet and exercise. This can help to reduce the risk of future injuries and conditions and improve overall quality of life.

Another important aspect of chiropractic care is the development of individualized treatment plans for each patient. Every patient is unique and has different needs, so chiropractors take the time to understand each individual’s health history, physical condition, and goals for treatment. They then develop a personalized plan that may include manual adjustments, therapeutic exercises, and lifestyle modifications, among other techniques.

Chiropractors are highly trained professionals who undergo extensive education and training to provide the best care for their patients. They must graduate from an accredited chiropractic college and pass a licensing exam in order to practice. In addition, many chiropractors continue their education throughout their careers in order to stay up-to-date on the latest developments and techniques in the field.

In conclusion, chiropractors are highly skilled healthcare professionals who specialize in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of musculoskeletal conditions. They use a variety of techniques, including manual adjustment, therapeutic exercises, and lifestyle modifications, to help their patients relieve pain, improve function, and prevent future problems from developing. Whether you are experiencing pain due to an injury or a chronic condition, a chiropractor can help you get back to living an active and pain-free life.

Our Unique Approach

Initial consultation

We pride ourselves on our approach as we take the time to listen and understand you and your health concerns.

At your first appointment our friendly staff will provide some paper work to complete and take some basic health measurements. This will provide our chiropractor with a broad overview of your health.

Our examination process is comprehensive to establish the cause of your complaint. Our thorough testing includes orthoepic, musculoskeletal and neurological testing. All testing is non-invasive. Advanced postural screening software will assess any postural concerns you may have.

Your initial visit will take approximately 30 minutes. Spine x-rays may be required to gather more information. If this is the case, we will provide you with a bulk billed referral.

Report of Findings

During your follow-up visit our chiropractor will take the time to sit with you and explain all the findings from your initial consultation. We find people often have questions about their x-rays or postural assessment. Our aim is to put the pieces of the puzzle together for you and make sure that all your questions and concerns are answered.

We believe in a process that educates, informs and empowers you to be able to make an informed decision about your health. With your specific needs and goals in mind, we will work with you to formulate a plan of attack to achieve the desired results. If our chiropractor believes you will be better placed with another health professional, we will provide a referral to a trusted local colleague.

Standard Chiropractic Appointments

Once we have a thorough understanding of your spine and you commence care, our focus is working with you towards attaining the planned result. At all times we are attentive to providing explanations and answering your questions.

Our chiropractor will ensure that your chiropractic adjustments are comfortable and pain free. We are highly trained in multiple techniques. Each spine adjustment has been chosen based on your exam findings and what technique will be the safest and most effective for your spine. How we care for children, a pregnant mother or an adult are all very different. Each spine will require a different set of expertise and treatment approaches.
